SQL Saturday Experience
Last weekend I was invited as Speaker of a new edition of SQL Saturday Santiago .
It has been an experience that has exceeded my expectations. A great organization in a place like Duoc UC, with a very good infrastructure.
But mostly I want to highlight the group of Speakers who attended from 7 different countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Costa Rica, United States, Colombia.
To highlight the drawn agenda, which started on Friday with a Pre-Conference by Benjamin Nevarez ( @BenjaminNevarez ) with extensive experience in the SQL world and author of several reference books for SQLPASS community.
In the Pre-Conference we could see valuable new features of the next version of SQL vNext, besides delving into many issues related to SQL Database Engine. Understanding Query Optimization, Dynamic Management Views (DMV), query operators, Parallelism, Maximizing Performance Queries OLTP Memory (Heckaton), Understanding Statistics, performance improvements in data warehouse, among other issues They stood out.
The next day, Saturday April 1 started with Keynote in which participated Wilson Pais from Microsoft, Patricio Cofre organizer and CEO of Metricarts, and Eduardo Castro speaker and member of the Board of SQLPASS.
The conference was divided in three main tracks: Advanced Analytics, Core Engine DataBase, Business Intelligence.
In my case I was involved in the track of Business Intelligence with my talk of Power BI in Action where I presented on the integration of Power BI with Azure and Microsoft Flow, with an analysis time of actual hashtags Twitter, turning all information a Dashboard live.

Dejare also uploaded my talk at SlideShare on the following link:
One of the highlights was the great synergy that occurred between the speakers and in turn the great sense of community within the conference.
Importantly, the latter because it seemed very important aspect of sharing not only experience, but to be in touch with the latest in technology and be able to learn a lot on topics that may not see in our daily activity.
Thank you in advance for inviting me to participate, and I hope to keep adding in such instances that I find very rewarding.
See you soon!
